Much better than the worms he represents in the House!
This in today's Times. The man has both guts and leadership in my book.
"Jeremy Corbyn is poised to support a Commons move to declare Tony Blair guilty of lying to the House over the 2003 invasion of Iraq, in a move that could see the former Prime Minister kicked off the Queen’s privy council.
David Davis, the former Tory leadership contender, will table a motion in the House of Commons this week. He will be backed by Alex Salmond, the former first minister of Scotland.
The move comes after Lord Prescott, who was deputy prime minister at the time of the 2003 invasion, claimed that Iraq was an illegal war.
Mr Corbyn said he “probably would” support a parliamentary motion to hold the former Labour leader to account over his conduct in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq. The move could see Mr Blair removed from the Privy Council, a ceremonial circle of senior politicians. Members of the council usually keep the title for the rest of their lives.
Mr Corbyn told the Andrew Marr Show on BBC One: “I urge colleagues to read the Butler report and read the Chilcot report (released last week) about the way in which parliament was denied the information it should have had, the way in which there was lack of preparations for the post-invasion situation in Iraq and the way there were assertions of weapons of mass destruction. Parliament must hold to account, including Tony Blair, those who took us into this particular war.”"
